Time goes backwards for me. Looking at the clock now, I’m making a mistake.

I’m making a dozen mistakes — you.

Focused on the little things, how could they love me?

Clock struck 12 a dozen times. And it’s never worked for me. I’m supposed to be sipping coffee, white sheets, early mornings, scribbling thoughts. Or I was and I was happy. Or I was in the water, cool blue, hot sun, winding roads. And I was happy. Or I was getting home, fall evenings, making friends, falling asleep quickly. And I was happy. Now I’m laid back, running car, clock struck 12 and then time went backwards for me. I’ll look back and say I was happy, when time goes backwards, I’ll look back and say I was happy.
